Digimon Fusion Collectible Card Game - Name Errata?!

Digimon Fusion CCG master FAQ not only had rulings answered, it also had some name changes in it!

Check out the FAQ, you might even learn new strategies reading through it.

The name errata and MarineAngemon's text clarification make me think they'll be reprinted someday :)

No idea why they chose its wings as its best feature to name it after, they're all beaten up with holes all over them. How about Iceclawmon Icehornmon or here's a thought, IceDevimon.
phew,..  this card's name now has errata to be called IceDevimon. It applies to the effect of Daipenmon too.

What's so special about this card?
A normal Madleomon doesn't have a chainsaw on its arm or all that other metal on him. This here is a MadLeomon (Armed Mode)
Its sort of a fusion but why isn't it a fusion on this card.

All Starmons cards are now known as Starmon & Pickmonz
It was that yellow Pickmon who complained about the name, just look at his face, he's pissedz.

These 2 Digimon are very similiar, I don't blame them for getting the two confused.
The card is called AncientVolcanomon now.
Its a good card, I would like to see someone make a good deck out of it.

On a real copy of this card, the word 'your' is missing xD

That's all for the errata, now for some dumb cards that are still not fixed.

Its orange... where do you see the red.. bandai.
Just cause theres a BlueMeramon, doesn't mean this one has to have a color name on it too. The other meramon, BlueMeramon is an ultimate level, making this card be Red Meramon makes it sound like they're same level counterparts of each other and makes it seem Skull Meramon is the Digivolution of both.

Heart of the freakin cards
Someone hasn't been reading enough Yugioh manga if they don't know how pharaoh is spelled.

Once I've been to a few more tournaments I will write about how organized play is going and what kind of decks I've been playing there.
That's all for now, join the Digimon Fusion CCG group on facebook

Digimon Fusion Collectible Card Game - A look at the rares!

You didn't get an SR in your pack? Don't sweat it, Rares are just as useful!

There are 11 rares in the first set - New World
These glossy glittery cards are shinier then the dark foil of an SR!

This card doesn't look that impressive. Its boost value is that of an average 0 cost card like Starmons and Cutemon.  It is however the only 0 cost Shoutmon out right now and will be super useful for summoning the Shoutmon X4 promo you get at the upcoming Digi-Duel Days events. Hold onto this card, give it a try when you win the promo. Being the only 0 cost Shoutmon card, it also helps your deck have more foils in it to look really fancy along with your promo.

The Shoutmons that don't fuse!
Tactimon can make it hard to fuse by adding to your fusion costs, with these Shoutmon, you don't need to fuse and can take on strong enemies with the help of some boosts.
By playing in the Hot Springs code crown, you can summon these for free and just concentrate on paying the boost costs. A good card to pair with Dorulucannon is Ballistamon, for 1 cost you get 800 boost and if you play 2 Ballistamon as boost this turn, thats 2100 power!
Shoutmon B1-001 can use the help of Starmons or Chibitortomon to boost more than once.

But if  you do want to fuse
Take your pick! Shoutmon X3 makes your opponent play their boost cards, maybe when they didn't want to play them yet? Get into your opponent's head with this card!

Shoutmon X4 has more power then just about any fusion card. This is a great card for fighting in a code crown which gives Fusion Fighters +100 power, you'd tie with Bagra's several cards of 1500 power and possibly win those ties if you're the priority player.
The Shoutmon X4B with 1500 is stronger but it all depends if you're willing to pay a much higher cost just for an extra 100 power.

Would you like to wreck your opponent's plans this turn.. you can make their cards too expensive to play, or you can get rid of their Digimon entirely with Reapmon's effect.
With an early Reapmon you can get an idea of what cards your opponent has in their deck by paying attention to what they are discarding.

Blue Flare has some really strong cards. Greymon's 2 cost may look expensive but in Blue Flare's code crown, all blue costs are lowered by 1. Pay 1 for a Digimon with 1000 power?!
Yes! and a hand full of Digimemories!
If you play Greymon you can still trick your opponent into thinking you're not going to fuse. This version of Greymon says nothing about not being able to fuse ;)

Mailbirdramon is a little weird. A common Greymon in the same set has the same effect but the power and boost are different by 100 points.
Having 2 cards with this same effect is not bad. It gives you more chances to stick with this strategy you're trying to do, drawing more cards while paying 0 to summon this card. With 6 total copies of this effect, you might be drawing a card for free every turn and playing strong fusions!
Mailbirdramon also adds to the very nice show off holographic decks we all want

Look at these monsters! How much power they already have.
Cyber Rancher is the strongest card in the game right now by just looking at its printed power value.
It may not have a good effect, but forget the Super Rares this card's 1800 power is tough to beat.
With the Blue Flare Code Crown, playing this card as a fusion leaves you plenty of cards still in your hand. Have a few Digimemories like Agumon to lower your opponent's power since you can't boost your own.

Blastmon. yeah... read the effect, I'm done.

Digimon Fusion Collectible Card Game - bad card choices

In no particular order. Here's my thoughts on cards I don't like or wish I had more booster packs so I wouldn't have to play these.

Lake Zone, pay 0 to have a 600.. but are you really going to stay the turn with just 600 on the field?
Pay the same cost, or not cost and get to draw a card with the booster pack Greymon instead, then fusion!

Under the Blue Flare code crown, this is a 1000 beatstick for just 1 cost, but what are you going to do with the rest of you hand? Maybe you could have your hand full of Digimemories instead of boosting? Your hand only has 3 cards left, Levia costs 1, whats the other card gonna be, Agumon? Your opponent playing just 1 Lord Bagra promo with 1000 boost takes on this card's entire power.
If you're not boosting this turn, the Greymon from the starter deck will give you 1000 more power. You cannot argue the other one might be good in case your opponent negates your effects and this one would drop to 800, you're holding onto Levia yourself.

Lets see... in the Hot Springs code crown this card cost 0 to play...pretty good, thats like Icedevimon summoning for free in Lake Zone and Madleomon in the Green Zone.
In the Commander Room you'd get a 700 power card for 1 cost and that's where this card isn't good anymore. Blastmon from the starter deck has 1200 and basically costs 1 card as well..

As a boost card, 300 boost for 1 cost. Any splashed card in your deck can give more boost for 1 cost. Archelomon gives 100 more boost than this and has that very useful effect. Shoutmon from the starter deck has 700 boost for 1 cost.
When Lord Bagra comes out, it will give you 1000 boost for just 1 cost and while you are in any zone. Blue Meramon should not be in any decks when the promos come out.

Doesn't matter which Red Meramon you use for the Red Meramon strategies, they both give 200 boost.
This Meramon as its effect suggests, that you'd battle with it is worse then using Blue Meramon!
Definitely summon Blue Meramon over this LOL.

Its awesome that Bandai gave us some fusions as commons, this card was a little useful to me when I didn't have too many cards to build my deck with. If there were a booster draft, this card would be surprisingly good.
My problem with this card is compared to rarer fusions that can fuse for the same cost, the others can boost.
Metal Greymon S2-023 summons for the same fusion cost, has 1200 power and does not have this terrible effect. If you want to play 1 cost fusions you should play Fusion Fighers, they have everything handed to them so easily while Blue's best boost only gives 400.

Same as the 1 cost Greymon. Grab a draw if you're gonna pay 1.
Some shoutmon can fight without fusing but they get boosts on top of boosts with their effects.
If a shoutmon doesn't have that kind of effect or more Power, its meant for fusing then.
Play the 0 cost one if you're not gonna play the 1 cost one that draws or don't feel like fusing from your dondokomon.
The promo Shoutmon fusion requires a Shoutmon fusion material.. perfect time to play the 0 cost one.

No. Red Meramon only give 200 boost and one of them makes you have Magma Zone in play.
Whats that 2nd boost gonna do for you, you have 1 card left in your hand. Were you in the Magma zone and saved 1 card by reducing the summon cost of this? Ok 2 cards left in your hand. Lord Bagra gives 1000 boost? Wow really 2000 power!
NO. On their own, Bagra commanders have more power then this Skull Meramon + Red Meramon.

The strongest of the pay 1, draw one.
This can't fuse... sorry Latias, you suck until set 2.

I hate this card. If you're losing this badly you need a new deck.
Dead draw the entire game. Leviamon says 'lol' to this Tactimon being at 1800 power.

What a scam.
The whole point of playing Sand is for summoning Pharaohmon and boosting with Angemon. What does RED have anything to do with those yellow cards?!
Red can already boost for  800 with 1 cost, thats exactly what Angemon can do for other teams who don't get everything handed to them as easily as red.
You're working hard, being original in your deck, looking for a good Angemon boost but it comes at the price of HELPING RED!
Red having even just 1 card saved in their hand from this cost reduction could mean a double boost this turn form their +300 starmons.

Not kool.
While the Pyramid does help Bagra, its bagra who has to be running Angemon boost for now until Lord Bagra comes out. But statue of the goddess is a total rip off to purple, yellow, blue and bagra decks.

This card is not so bad. The red boost cards either only work for shoutmon or for Fusion Fighters.
There is the 700 boost shoutmon that beats this card by 100 boost but if you're just starting out and even have so many mixed teams in your deck, Dorulumon can boost for any color.

The end.

This card is good and holos out your deck. I just wanted to point something out about its rarity.
Why did it have to take up a rare spot... if the Greymon that does the same thing is common..

Digimon Fusion Collectible Card Game - Getting started with the Greymon starter deck

Buying a starter deck is a little confusing, it only comes with 30 cards, when the game is played with 35 cards!
You do get a booster pack to customize the deck, so lets take a look a some booster pack cards you can add to power up this deck!

The starter is focused on Blue Flare and Bagra Army cards, here's some cards that are easy to get in packs that I recommend.

Mailbirdramon - The starter deck does not come with any 0 cost Blue Flare cards! You'll need this card as your fusion material when you're not getting cost reduction from Bottom of a Lake, like on the turn your opponent has priority.
Golemon is the only other 0 cost Blue Flare card. You can start the turn with him or use him any time during the turn to draw into a Fusion or boost card you might need.

These are much cheaper summons then the ones found in the starter.
Play these for free while in your Lake zone, grab their effect for free and fuse them away into something stronger!

If you like draw power, here's more! Your Commander Room code crown is Magma Zone, you'll be able to use Frigimon's ability to its fullest.
The deck already has cost reduction cards, but if you do not want to buy another starter to get more cost reduction, Troopmon can easily be found in booster packs.

Team Midnight? This deck does not come with any Digimemories at all! You'll have unused cards in your hand, you might as well use up the extra cards in  your hand to mess with your opponent!

1200 power!
One of the code crowns in your deck is Green Zone! Play this Madleomon using Mammothmon or Golemon to pay the cost and you'll have a huge hand for boosting on this turn.
Metal Greymon might not be for everyone, the restriction of not being able to boost looks like you've put yourself into a corner.  ..yeah, nevermind, don't use this card. The Metal Greymon you already get in the starter deck summons for the same fusion cost of just 1, has 1200 Power and can boost.

This card is for summoning your bigger fusions with costs of 2+
This is Blue Flare's only cost reduction Digimon, it can pay the entire cost of summoning your Cyber Rancher when you're not on home turf, the Lake zone.
The 2 cost might be a little heavy but you can dig through your deck with discarding one or 2 of the draw engine cards if you did not have a fusion in your hand so it might be a good thing the summon cost is high.

Agumon digivolve to,... Greymon!
He's part of your Digivolution line, you can't forget Agumon! Every deck needs one of these to destroy your opponent's cards who just lost last turn, don't let them get Training Area advantage, you won last turn, this is your game you call the shots, losers get nothing for losing, take their Training Area cards away!
Why does Frigimon the snowball get powered up in a zone for heat loving Digimon?
The world may never know. But use it to your advantage! This card will be there for you just like your Lake zone. If you're going up against Fusion Fighter decks, they tend to play 0 cost cards out first to set them up as fusion material and scout you out. It doesn't really sound like your opponents will get benefits from this card if they're playing 0 cost cards. Many of your code crowns already help out Bagra decks its up to you if you want to help enemy Bagra with cost reduction or give them +100 power with Commander Room.

What about BOOSTS?
This deck is lacking in boost cards. But every deck has to make the tough decisions of picking Shoutmon x2 for its 800 boost, Angemon for 800 boost and a chance boost non red cards for cheap, or Archelomon but he's only 400 boost. Chibitortomon is a good boost card, 1 cost for 500 boost.
Your guess is as good as mine on what to boost with, they all come with big risks.
Hang in there until Lord Bagra promo comes out. Get your local stores to order the OP kit!
2 copies of this card come in the deck. Its 400 boost for free when you're in your Lake zone.

This is the deck list. Its only 30 cards.
